Errors

Every error code of the API: errorId, errorCode, what it means and what to do.

Every answer is HTTP 200 with errorId. 0 means success; otherwise there are errorCode and a human-readable errorDescription:

Check errorId != 0, not the HTTP status.
Branch on errorCode; errorDescription is for people and may change.
Ids 1–55 follow the Anti-Captcha registry, ids from 90 are codes of this service. An unknown failure is ERROR_INTERNAL (90) — never errorId: 0.

All codes#

ERROR_KEY_DOES_NOT_EXIST

Ý nghĩa: clientKey is missing, malformed, revoked or unknown.
Cách xử lý: Copy the key again from Dashboard → API keys; check for spaces and line breaks and that it is not a key of another service.

ERROR_NO_SLOT_AVAILABLE

Ý nghĩa: The key already has the maximum number of tasks in progress (200 by default).
Cách xử lý: Wait until some tasks finish and retry in 1–2 seconds, or raise the parallel limit of the key in the dashboard.

ERROR_ZERO_BALANCE

Ý nghĩa: The available balance is below the price of the task. Money held for tasks in progress is not available.
Cách xử lý: Top up the balance. Test keys do not need a balance.

ERROR_IP_NOT_ALLOWED

Ý nghĩa: The request came from an IP address that is not in the key's allowlist.
Cách xử lý: Add the address or network to the allowlist of the key, or clear the list.

ERROR_CAPTCHA_UNSOLVABLE

Ý nghĩa: The task could not be solved after all attempts. The held money is returned — the task is free.
Cách xử lý: Create a new task. If it repeats, check websiteURL, websiteKey, isInvisible / pageAction and the proxy.

ERROR_NO_SUCH_METHOD

Ý nghĩa: Unknown method, wrong HTTP method, or the body is not valid JSON (for example, taskId sent as a string).
Cách xử lý: Send POST with a JSON body to a documented method.

ERROR_NO_SUCH_CAPCHA_ID

Ý nghĩa: No task with this id in your account, or its result expired (10 minutes after it was solved). Reports about unsolved tasks also get this code.
Cách xử lý: Check taskId and the key — tasks are visible to the account that created them. Fetch results soon after they are ready, or use webhooks.

ERROR_IP_BLOCKED

Ý nghĩa: Requests from this IP address are blocked because of abuse.
Cách xử lý: Write to support with your account email and the IP address.

ERROR_TASK_ABSENT

Ý nghĩa: task is missing or invalid: a required field is empty, a value is out of range, callbackUrl is not a public http(s) URL, or the body is larger than 1 MiB. errorDescription names the field.
Cách xử lý: Fix the field named in errorDescription and send the task again.

ERROR_TASK_NOT_SUPPORTED

Ý nghĩa: Unknown or disabled task type.
Cách xử lý: Take the type from getTaskTypes. Names are case-sensitive: RecaptchaV2TaskProxyless, not ReCaptchaV2TaskProxyLess.

ERROR_PROXY_CONNECT_REFUSED

Ý nghĩa: The proxy refused the connection.
Cách xử lý: Check the address, port and type of the proxy, and that it accepts connections from the internet.

ERROR_PROXY_CONNECT_TIMEOUT

Ý nghĩa: Connecting to the proxy timed out.
Cách xử lý: Check that the proxy is online; use a faster one.

ERROR_PROXY_READ_TIMEOUT

Ý nghĩa: The proxy accepted the connection but did not answer in time.
Cách xử lý: Use a more stable proxy.

ERROR_PROXY_BANNED

Ý nghĩa: The proxy IP is blocked by Google or by the site.
Cách xử lý: Use another proxy, preferably residential or mobile.

ERROR_RECAPTCHA_TIMEOUT

Ý nghĩa: The task was not solved in time: no worker took it within 180 seconds, or the attempts ran out. Not charged.
Cách xử lý: Create a new task. If it keeps happening, check the status page and your proxy.

ERROR_RECAPTCHA_INVALID_SITEKEY

Ý nghĩa: Google rejected the site key.
Cách xử lý: Take websiteKey from the page again (data-sitekey or the k parameter); do not mix v2, v3 and Enterprise keys.

ERROR_RECAPTCHA_INVALID_DOMAIN

Ý nghĩa: The site key is not valid for the domain of websiteURL.
Cách xử lý: Pass the address of the page where the widget is really shown.

ERROR_RECAPTCHA_OLD_BROWSER

Ý nghĩa: The site considers the browser outdated.
Cách xử lý: Pass a current desktop userAgent.

ERROR_PROXY_HAS_NO_IMAGE_SUPPORT

Ý nghĩa: The proxy does not load images (a compatibility code).
Cách xử lý: Use another proxy.

ERROR_PROXY_NOT_AUTHORISED

Ý nghĩa: Wrong proxy login or password.
Cách xử lý: Check proxyLogin and proxyPassword.

ERROR_VISIBLE_RECAPTCHA

Ý nghĩa: The widget type does not match isInvisible: an invisible reCAPTCHA sent as visible or the other way round.
Cách xử lý: Set isInvisible according to the widget on the page.

ERROR_ACCOUNT_SUSPENDED

Ý nghĩa: The account is suspended.
Cách xử lý: Write to support.

ERROR_INTERNAL

Ý nghĩa: A temporary failure on our side. Any unknown error is reported with this id too — never with errorId: 0.
Cách xử lý: Retry with a growing pause (1, 2, 4… seconds). If it lasts, check the status page.

ERROR_TOO_MUCH_REQUESTS

Ý nghĩa: Rate limit: more than 30 createTask or 50 getTaskResult per second for the key, or more than 100 requests per second from one IP.
Cách xử lý: Slow down and retry with a pause; poll each task every 2–3 seconds.

ERROR_SPENDING_LIMIT

Ý nghĩa: The daily or monthly spending cap of the key is reached.
Cách xử lý: Raise or remove the cap in the key settings, or wait for the next day or month.
